From April 12 to 13, 2025, the "Advanced Training Course on Artificial Intelligence Application Skills in the New Era," jointly organized by the China Wisdom Engineering Research Association, the School of Artificial Intelligence at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), and the Education and Sustainable Development Think Tank, was successfully held at BUPT. The event was co-hosted by the Labor, Science, and Technology Education Working Committee of the China Wisdom Engineering Research Association and the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Division of Beijing Huada Zhongke Information Technology Research Institute. Attendees included Academician Liu Jiaqi, Advisor of the China Wisdom Engineering Research Association; Researcher Xing Naigui, Vice President of the association; Professor Yang Jie, Party Secretary of BUPT’s School of Artificial Intelligence; and other faculty members.
The training course focused on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in education, covering topics such as AI education policy interpretation, cutting-edge technological trends, integration of AI with subject teaching, and practical applications of intelligent educational tools. It provided participants with a rich blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.
Six faculty members from BUPT’s AI Popularization and General Education Center delivered insightful keynote reports. In addition to lectures, the program featured interactive sessions including group discussions, case studies, and experience-sharing activities, fostering extensive collaboration and exchange among participants.
The training course offered a high-quality platform for educators from primary schools, secondary schools, and vocational institutions to enhance their skills. It advanced the application of AI in education, improved teaching quality, and promoted educational equity and innovation. Moving forward, the School of Artificial Intelligence will further explore models for deep integration of "AI + Education," contributing technological and intellectual support to the digital transformation of education.
