The ITTC center, founded by Academician Zhou Jiongpeng, is one of the pioneering teams in China engaged in the teaching and research of information theory and technology. Leveraging the "Double First-Class" discipline in Information and Communication Engineering, the team focuses on national strategic needs such as new-infrastructure, industrial internet, military intelligence, and space information networks. With B5G/6G mobile communications as the focal point, the center is dedicated to research in intelligent communications and networks, as well as intelligent information processing, aiming to cultivate high-caliber talents with both theoretical and technical expertise for the nation and industry. The center currently has 7 professors, 9 associate professors, 2 lecturers, and 2 postdoctoral fellows, including 13 Ph.D. supervisors and 17 master's supervisors.
In recent years, the team has undertaken over 30 national-level research projects and numerous provincial, ministerial, and enterprise collaborations, with research funding exceeding 100 million yuan. The center has received over 20 provincial and national awards for teaching and research, published over 500 SCI/EI-indexed papers, filed more than 70 patents, and authored over 20 textbooks and monographs.
