The 2024 BUPT Artificial Intelligence Training Camp - Macau University of Science and Technology Summer Course Project was successfully completed from August 19th to August 24th at Macau University of Science and Technology.

At the opening ceremony, the representatives from the relevant colleges of the two schools presented an overview of their respective schools and outlined the content and requirements of this summer course.

During the six-day training camp, a team of five teachers from the School of Artificial Intelligence at BUPT taught the basic theories of artificial intelligence and conducted practical exercises for 30 students from the MUST and 14 students from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. They also shared the latest research achievements in the field of artificial intelligence.

The summer course content includes both theoretical teaching and scenario based practice. Theoretical teaching revolves around the development process, theoretical foundation, and large-scale model technology of artificial intelligence technology. The scenario based practice is carried out on the platform of the currently most popular multimodal large model. In addition, students further experienced the vitality and charm of "AI" through various activities such as "AI" themed debates and group presentations.

After the end of the training camp, students expressed their sincere gratitude to the teachers for their wonderful teaching and hard work, as they had gained a lot of knowledge, abilities, and perspectives through this training camp activity.

The implementation of this training camp project showcases the era of joint efforts between Beijing and Macao students, and is of great significance in promoting youth exchanges and academic cooperation between the two regions.
